Last summer I received a stimulus check with President Trump’s signature. In January I received a $600 stimulus gift card with no presidential acknowledgment. I hear that the direct deposit people are already getting the $1400 dollars electronically. Not sure if I am getting third stimulus or not.
The paper checks were so much cheaper to produce than the gift cards.
Last May my $1200 was directly deposited. Never received the $600 so I requested it when I sent in my 2020 taxes - they deducted the taxes I owed them but still getting a refund. Goodness knows when I will get that refund since I read the IRS is behind with over 7 million to be reviewed. I understand that the $1400 deposits can be made until December.
