There’s been a push to get kids into college instead of trades as if everyone should be college material.
Not everyone is. Without the trades, we’re going to fail, too. Someone needs to do the work and I’d rather trust it to citizens than not.
And I do agree, we should not be depending on giving STEM jobs the to Indians and commies. End the visa programs.
I never said that you were any less men for not wanting to be in trades, so don’t read into it. However, someone good at trades has two things going.
One is you can make a good amount of money if you’re good at them because their is such high demand for them. The other is that those who hate us and are trying to destroy us, depend on those very trades they sneer at.
Who’s going to be the one fixing their plumbing, electrical, car, growing their food, transporting it, and when TSHTF, guess who’s going to have the skills to manage when everyone else is standing in line at the government hand outs, where they give out stale bread that runs out just before you get there?

You never did, but it’s heavily implied that those not willing to get their hand dirty to earn a living are somehow less a man than someone who chose the white-collar, educated route.
The various engineering disciplines are hard to quantify. I’m a Software Engineer by trade (more of a Gameplay Engineer now). Took the same hard-assed Physics-Math-Engineering college program as many engineers, I just specialized in software rather than Electrical, Mechanical or Civil.
