Good one. Actually, my Dad is a brilliant scientist. The point is, Q clearance is a DOE thing, not an NSA thing. Intelligence officers don’t work for DOE.
There is an Intelligence & Counter-Intelligence office at DOE.
The have analysts there that work foreign nuclear intelligence issues & do CI to protect our nuclear technology. I worked with some of these folks in the past.
