You have a point though. I know the FBI and DOJ were still heavily infiltrated and untrustworthy. So maybe that’s why I saw “operation this” and “operation that” working in tandem with other state agencies - maybe the states were “clean enough” to make sure something happened whereas actions that relied strictly on FBI were buried ‘cause everyone owns them.
Free Republic had an big uptick in child trafficking arrest articles in 2019 and 2020. 95% of the time, US Marshals were doing the arrests.
