“ I think you have to have a pretty good following for them to care. ”
I don’t think so. I never sought followers by retweeting any of those
Follower purposed tweets of big patriot accounts with lots of followers
that would then all follow you as well, but you can do that pretty easy.
I don’t think I ever reached 500, but I do remember Bagster and I
were neck and neck for a bit.
That doesn’t matter as much as one might think.
The right Meme-Unition, with the right comment, at the right moment,
to the right large following having, well chosen recipient, sometimes...
Goes.
Viral.
Or at least gets shared, and retweeted and liked a lot.
(It also stirs up the demons, so go armored.)
Can’t have a GREAT AWAKENING, without making some NOISE!

I used to think that too. It's not totally wrong, but the right tweet can become targeted. There are bot farms that troll for certain article URLs you may tweet or certain keywords in your tweets. I attract bots all the time with a small following and no hastags. It's what the bots do. It's their job to REPORT stuff to Twitter. The right report will get you in the penalty box or off the ice forever.
