Take out the second and third row seats and all the seat belts and you could cram in many people. Just like the slave ships that had their holds crammed with slaves.

The SUV had no seats other than the 2 up front. The ages of the 'passengers' was from 15 to 53 and a mix of 'men and women' (hasn't the AP told themselves about gender fluidity?). Can you say 'Sardines"?

Speculation is that these were going for harvesting work in S.California.

At first, I heard the news and wondered if it was a load of very young children and/or babies, since no one wanted to talk details.

Take out the seats, stack them in layers like cordwood.

Reportedly, the smugglers pack in the illegals like one stacks wood. Having them lay on top of each other from floor to ceiling. And it doesn’t matter to the smuggler’s if the bottom layer gets smashed as the smuggler’s have already gotten their money.

Apparently they removed all the seating except for the driver and the front passenger. Then they just crammed in as many people as they could. You know an Expedition has a lot of room.

Back in college I once fit ten passengers into my two-door Ford Fiesta.
