Exactly right. I’ve had vaccines for several things such as smallpox and polio, even took a tetanus shot a few years ago after maybe 50 years without one. I don’t take flu shots, because I don’t get the flu, but I am seriously considering the shingles vaccine because I had chickenpox when I was a kid. My wife had shingles about 10 years ago, and she did not enjoy it at all.
I’m not by any stretch of the imagination an anti-vaxxer, but I have no intention of taking any of the coronavirus vaccines until they’ve been used for a few years. I’d rather face the very small chance of death or disablement due to COVID-19 than be part of a large-scale medical experiment.
