Actually, I somewhat misquoted him, by omission. Went back to watch again, it was right before the end.
He said “...and then, a Republican president will *make a triumphant* return to the White House, and I wonder who that will be. I wonder who that will be?”
(He did say that last part twice, just then, the second time more softly than the first.)
Then there was a long pause, during which the crowd cheered and whistled, before he repeated, in a louder voice, “Who, who... who... will that be, I wonder?”
I got a strong “teasing” vibe from it. (Maybe it was just me? but I definitely did!)
If not Trump, it will be the person he endorses.
Anyone got a link to the speech? Worked late today and missed it. I am sure it’s backthread somewhere.
“I got a strong “teasing” vibe from it. (Maybe it was just me? but I definitely did!)”
So did I.
Also, I thought when he was mentioning Cancel Culture - I would wear a tee that said “Cancel all elected Democrats they financial support all the world except US.”
Just my thoughts: It would be hard for a Republican president to "return to the White House" if he hadn't previously been there in office.
