“Wood, tile, etc floors are not flea habitats. Much easier to get rid of them with cleanable floors.”

Not blaming you particularly, but I covered all these things I’m replying to in my original post.. We have only bare floors! I hate, hate, hate carpeting with a passion, and think it makes no sense to have it in a semi tropical environment.

But we do have lots of places underneath things that are fixed in place - i.e., too heavy to move and that can’t be vacuumed under, that are probably hiding and breeding places for the fleas. Such as several bookcases and armoires, buffet/curio cabinet, a very heavy and immense food storage shelving unit, hardwood kingsize platform bed with loads of drawers and cubbyholes underneath (that had to be assembled from scratch inside the bedroom when I bought it), my spouse’s 400 lb. massage chair.... you get the picture!

If I were a flea, it would be a no-brainer where to nest in this house! LOL

I probably didn’t read your original post, just sort of a general reply...With carpets any insect problem is infinitely worse for sure. But fleas are very tricky survivalists and can live for monthes without a “meal” ie blood. They wait...
