OK, I’ve just experienced the posting problem on an iPad Pro.
The Chrome browser behaves just as you say.
but the Safari browser is so far functioning normally.
Holding down on the post reply key and either opening in another tab,
or copying the link and pasting in another tab worked for a while in
Chrome, but now that doesn’t work, either.
It’s almost as if someone is toying with the code in OUR thread,
because all these issues seem to NOT be present beyond the trees.
At least not yet.
