They have to distsance themselves from Trump's military action (conventional weapons, but decision to bomb). The Deep State wants to make it look like Biden is in control and the Dems don't want responsibility for bombing, so hint it's just proof Biden is on his own and in the background, try to put in place restrictions on Trump. When it rains lemons, make lemonade.

PRESIDENT Joe Biden ordered his first military attack on Thursday - an airstrike in Syria apparently in response to recent rocket attacks on American targets in Iraq.

The US airstrike hit a structure believed to belong to an Iran-backed militia.
