Govt. service is a far better move than govt. careers. Also, I see no place for unions in either education or govt.

You make a great point here about service as opposed to career. Especially in terms of paid civic positions which does include education.

In general we raise our children attempting to help them achieve successful career opportunities as adults. I would guess that Christian conservatives comprise the bulk of those adding teaching that our children serve the community or mankind. At present we have all volunteer military which shows that a good number of young people do grasp the concept of service in their profession.

There are many other occupations with a service focus although many are filled with leftist-focused heathens pushing gubmint subsidies instead of true helpful service. We also have a vast array of "service industries" manned by people who understand that serving others can be a rewarding career and life.

But how much better would our society work if we schooled our kiddos in "how will you serve when you grow up?" Instead of, "what are you going to be when you grow up?" We have had a president since 2017 who truly took the job to serve. How better would our govt, schools, banks, medical facilities etc work if each employee were conditioned from childhood to understand that their place of employment is their service to the community. That would be Biblical.

I love that thought. It’s an idea which is almost forgotten in this modern world.

I cringe when I see the luxurious benefits and salaries paid govt. employees simply because their unions were able to negotiate with commie dems when they were in power and our side never reversed the situation.

meanwhile common people work for a 1/3 or 1/2 of what govt. employees make for similar jobs. It's insane.

We desperately need to get rid of unions in govt. and education or pay the price we are currently paying.
