Tiger Woods was hospitalized after being involved in a single-car accident in Los Angeles on Tuesday morning. The extent of any potential injuries, as well as the circumstances of the accident, remain unclear.
Woods, 45, was in California for a two-day content shoot with Golf Digest/GOLFTV after serving as host for the PGA Tour's Genesis Invitational over the weekend. Pictures surfaced on social media of Woods smiling with Dwayne Wade and David Spade at Rolling Hills Country Club on Monday, but with his movement still restricted, he did not hit balls or play any holes. The shoot involved Woods giving on-course lessons to a number of celebrities, but he mostly provided instruction and hit a few putts. He was in good spirits on Monday but did not arrive to the course for the second day of shooting.
On Sunday, Woods told CBS’ Jim Nantz that he was awaiting the results of an upcoming MRI before he could ramp up practicing and training for a return to competition.
Woods last competed alongside his son at the PNC Championship, which finished on Dec. 20 in Orlando. He then underwent a microdiscectomy procedure to remove a pressurized disc fragment that was pinching a nerve. It was his fifth back surgery overall and the first since his spinal fusion in April 2017.
They also did not say whether he had cereal or bacon and eggs for breakfast......Hmmmmmmm
LOL!
Every driver has the responsibility to drive no faster than conditions safely permit. That’s the Basic Speed Law. It doesn’t matter how fast cars can go relative to how fast they could when the road was built. The entire responsibility lies on the driver and not on the road.
As for volume of traffic, overcapacity usually results in lower collision rates with the possible exception of rear-enders.
No road is “dangerous” by reason of not accommodating reckless driving.
Bad wreck could end career.
Hope he’s ok .
Looked groggy in that on air during the golf tournament interview with Nance yesterday.
Thx, I'll be careful next time I'm visiting Santa Fe :) Especially if there's snow on the roads, I'm told by a friend who lives there they just wait until it melts, no plows or salt
Tiger has won 15 majors, not 14.
Back problems limited Nicholas time in the senior tour to the point he only played the majors in later years (Masters, etc.) where he has a lifetime exemption due to being a past champion of all four. Nicholas has made far more $$$ designing golf courses in his later years.
I remember just a few years ago Couples was leading the Senior PGA Championship in the final round over Bernhard Langer when his back went out and he had to have two people more or less carry him in to the medical tent, ending his tournament!
It can happen.
THINK.
Didn’t see the interview, I was waiting for the trophy presentation because the winner was so looking forward to meeting Tiger. Didn’t see that either.
It amazes me that Fred Couples still plays golf. On a good day, his body alignment is rather tilted.
Good grief....considering his history, it’s a valid point.
Only a fan-bois with his new Tiger knee pads would engage in your personal attack.
“hopefully he has no lasting injuries.
Some athletes have major injuries and come back. Some have “

It was probably the last 15 years of employment that I had chronic low back pain and I now blame it on spending every day seated at a desk, interspersed with some athletic activity such as racquetball and softball.
Following my retirement in 2016 and becoming fully active in softball and other athletics, my back pain has disappeared and I've never felt better......go figure.
Nicklaus holds the record for most second-place finishes: 19
Tiger, the PED doper, will never be on the same level as Jack Nicklaus
You have absolutely no information to verify your accusation so keep your crap to yourself until all the information regarding the accident is revealed.
Is that too hard for you?
Perhaps worth noting that he was driving an Genesis SUV. Genesis is the sponsor of his tournament there. It was almost certainly a tournament courtesy car. I’ve drive that SUV. It’s not a sports SVU like a Cayanne or X5M. Instead, it’s very luxurious, plush. (and a really good value for the money, IMO).
MARK IT!
