Tiger Woods involved in single-car accident in Los Angeles

Tiger Woods was hospitalized after being involved in a single-car accident in Los Angeles on Tuesday morning. The extent of any potential injuries, as well as the circumstances of the accident, remain unclear.

Woods, 45, was in California for a two-day content shoot with Golf Digest/GOLFTV after serving as host for the PGA Tour's Genesis Invitational over the weekend. Pictures surfaced on social media of Woods smiling with Dwayne Wade and David Spade at Rolling Hills Country Club on Monday, but with his movement still restricted, he did not hit balls or play any holes. The shoot involved Woods giving on-course lessons to a number of celebrities, but he mostly provided instruction and hit a few putts. He was in good spirits on Monday but did not arrive to the course for the second day of shooting.

On Sunday, Woods told CBS’ Jim Nantz that he was awaiting the results of an upcoming MRI before he could ramp up practicing and training for a return to competition.

Woods last competed alongside his son at the PNC Championship, which finished on Dec. 20 in Orlando. He then underwent a microdiscectomy procedure to remove a pressurized disc fragment that was pinching a nerve. It was his fifth back surgery overall and the first since his spinal fusion in April 2017.

Actually, correction to my post: For some items, density, shape, airborne tumble or flutter, etc., would significantly affect air resistance and therefor also affect “flight behavior” / trajectory.

Phil , David (Duval) , Payne , John Daley, Rory , all would have been there regardless

You have missed the point, by a wide margin. Rory McIlroy (31), by far the youngest in your list, was influenced by Tiger and patterned his golf swing after Tiger. The other golfers Mickelson (50), Duval (49), and Daly (54), and Payne Steward (deceased) are all older than Tiger. They are contemporaries who competed against Tiger starting in his early pro career and lost to Tiger time after time.

If you listen to the PGA players at the top of the game today, many, many of them were inspired to choose golf as a career because of Tiger. If you missed this, either you haven't been paying attention, or you allow your personal distaste for Tiger cloud reality.

Nicklaus was great. He could really hit the ball hard in his twenties.

He was hitting it with persimmon woods and golf balls that didn’t fly as far. I have an old set of persimmon woods, and I would say I get about 50 more yards with the metal driver. Plus, its just hard to het the sweet spot. In his day, with modern equipment, he would have given Tiger a run for his money with distance.

Tiger wrecked his back and his knee to gain distance. I think if he was more careful, smarter, he could have matched Nicklaus. There is no way he can do it now.

Was he wearing a mask?

That is the most critical question.

Tiger, like Bonds, McQuire & Sosa, will always have an asterisk next to his majors from his long use of PEDs provided to him by his convicted Canadian ‘doctor”

E = MC squared.

When a car is moving downhill, with the energy is gains because of it’s mass, I bet its relative weight becomes magnified, multiplied by some number. Like TNT with a lit fuse.

My daughter launched a car in these Pennsylvania hills, speeding down a hill. Every window blown out, all air bags deployed. By some miracle, she didn’t have a scratch. She was sitting in an ambulance, in shock, about 18 years old. I couldn’t believe there wasn’t a broken bone. Thank god.

But these hills, with a car, dangerous as hell if you speed. One bounce, the wheels are in the air, and thats it. A runaway train with no steering.

Was it steroids that Tiger was doing?

Maybe that’s how he bulked up in his late twenties.

He went from a skinny string bean to a muscle bound hulk in an about one year.

Wow, recovery will be crazy extensive I’m no doctor but right leg, foot & ankle in really bad shape

He'll probably return to a tournament play with great fanfare and all deserved. However, I'd say that he'll be around 46 years old after 1 year recovery, oldest player to win a major was 48. With his injuries combined with his age the odds are long he'll win another major. Ben Hogan was 36 when he had his accident. I'll be glad to wee him back, but doubtful he could even win another tournament.

That interview with Nance. Evidence for OVI.

Nope again. Duval took his number 1 spot. Then had numerous injuries. (Back , wrist.)

Duval NEVER had a “swing” like Woods.

The rest of those golfers and those after would have made it anyway.

Again Duval NEVER had a Wood’s swing.

More than 3500 pounds, moving 80 MPH downhill.

If I remember right, Einstein’s theory says an object actually gains more mass or weight as it moves faster and stores energy.

3500 pounds moving downhill on wheels, like a launched missile. Waiting for a tree to slow it down.

He was running a half hour late, so it seems he may have been trying to get to the Riviera GC at warp speed. If he had just called on the cell phone, and said I’m stuck in traffic, he would walking around today, enjoying his life. And thank god the billionaire didn’t kill anyone.

Reading comprehension is a wonderful asset. Best to use it before arguing with facts.

PED/Steroids via his Canadian doctor who was busted entering the US with those drugs.

As you noted, simple observation was all one needed. interestingly, the PGA implemented PED/drug testing AFTER Tiger won US open at Torrey Pines - his 13th major “win”.

Of all the doctors Tiger could have consulted, he chose a Canadian crook?

Tiger was a cheater - in golf and in his personal life - and a despicable human being. His golf “records” will forever be tainted.

There are many who believe he walks on water...including many freepers.

Keep singing the praises of your Democrat buddy David Duval. You have made your priorities painfully clear.
