Everything with any amount of acreage, or just considered rural....from Houston area, to the San Antonio/Hill Country area is going absolutely crazy, right now....price wise.
We aren’t in the market...as we have acreage...but....if we were in the market to sell, now would be the time.
Homes in our area....and, in the above mentioned areas, are getting MULTIPLE competing, same day offers.
A friend of ours who purchased their subdivision home, 20 years ago, in the mid 200’s are selling their home (under contract same day as listed) for nearly $700K.
A LOT of folks are taking the money and running. To where....I have no idea...because it is definitely NOT a buyer’s market, around here....or, anywhere decent to live, that I know of! (Hmmmm....maybe CA?? :-)
We’re fortunate that we have the exact set up that many are trying to move to. Well, except that it’s in the humid sauna heat. But, I guess all of these buyers aren’t as concerned about that, as I am.
It’s just a crazy, seller’s market, right now...as you know. I think it is, in MANY rural/red state areas.
I can get you a 4 bedroom, 4 bath 2280 sq. ft. house on 15.6 acres in Kansas City, KS for $450,000. https://www.realtor.com/realestateandhomes-detail/9240-Georgia-Ave_Kansas-City_KS_66109_M89875-09681

We got 3 offers the first day. Then a couple backup offers after accepting one.
Yes, it’s crazy! Sad thing is prices are going up to price starting families out of the market. I hate to see that.
yeah, I wonder where people are going after they sell! Here, many are just moving to a bigger house, etc. But that just means more money needed. The places that probably have decreasing house prices, we probably wouldn’t think twice about moving there (liberalism most likely).
