Sheriff warned by US investigators after flying Trump flag on patrol boat
Oswego County Sheriff Don Hilton received the warning from the U.S. Office of Special Counsel
in response to a complaint alleging that he violated the Hatch Act
(which forbids the use of taxpayer time and money going toward advocacy for a political candidate)
Tell the Feds to blow it out their hawse pipes.
Former President Donald Trump is a private citizen.
He is not a candidate for political office at this time so there is no violation of the Hatch Act.
Would the feds be concerned if he was flying a Bill Clinton or Barack Obama flag? HECK NO!!!.
