I’m very upset. Suddenlink, my ISP, charged me double, $105, and all they could say was change my password.
Change your password? That only helps if someone is making unauthorized purchases, like renting movies to watch or something!
Maybe they’re trying to recoup their loses for paying the bills for people in Louisiana. https://www.kplctv.com/2021/03/10/suddenlink-pays-off-customers-bills/
I saw several articles on the internet about people having been charged wrongly in the past. I’m not sure if the Public Utility Commission in Texas has any power over ISP in Texas; maybe only to say they can operate there?
Did you change from where you make the payment each month to an auto pay? I’ve had issues with people on our insurance getting double drafted when they first change payment methods due to the timing, but then the extra payment shows as credit the next month so you skip a draft then it all settles down.
Be a pest (a nice pest, not a harridan)! Call and get a manager on the line; sometimes you got to get the right person who’s willing to look instead of read a script to straighten things out. Sometimes that’s the customer service representative but normally not.
Change your password? What was on the bill that doubled the price? I guess they’re saying someone ordered something on your account?
