"In 2017, National Day Calendar® began celebrating each state in the order they entered the union starting the week of Independence Day and ending with Hawaii. We highlight a small part of each states’ history, foods and the people who make up the state. Many states have their own state celebrations, and National Day Calendar’s observances in no way replace them. There’s so much more to explore, we can’t help but celebrate our beautiful country even more!"
It looks like they keep constantly rotating it (when they hit the 50th state, they start over) and they do it every Monday.
For example, Missouri was Jan. 4 and is the 24th state to join the union. Arkansas was Jan. 11 and is the 25th state to join. Etc., etc.
And speaking of International Woman's Day, look what Burger King UK tweeted:
Women belong in the kitchen.— Burger King (@BurgerKingUK) March 8, 2021
Now, to be fair, they followed up with this tweet:
If they want to, of course. Yet only 20% of chefs are women. We're on a mission to change the gender ratio in the restaurant industry by empowering female employees with the opportunity to pursue a culinary career. #IWD— Burger King (@BurgerKingUK) March 8, 2021
We are proud to be launching a new scholarship programme which will help female Burger King employees pursue their culinary dreams!— Burger King (@BurgerKingUK) March 8, 2021
Twp little gems right there,Spirit. I’ll have to pay better attention on Mondays, LOL.
Funny, my husband made a simliar statement about staying in the kitchen to me last weekend when I wanted to go to Burger King!
I made potstickers instead. Sigh.
I didn’t know about State’s days.
