Haha I guess it sounds a little risky, but Pidge is in a cage and the rest of the birds are used to the cat, and vice versa. The cat is too lazy to bother anyway....he’s barely able to get up the energy to do his mouse duties. He’s not even old. Just lazy.
I have a neighbor’s cat that comes over nearly every day (sometimes twice a day!) to hunt birds that come eat at the feeders on my deck. And it’s not like she’s hungry-she’s well fed. But I know the hunting instinct has nothing to do with hunger.
