Early on, in this planDEMic, I made masks made of gauze. Those were the ones I’d worn, most often, until I purchased clear face shields.
I wore those until last week.
I haven’t worn a mask into any store/establishment, since.
(Even went into Walgreens w/out a mask, recently. Maybe half had masks on, others without.)
This testing business only makes sense to me as an aid to determining a course of treatment. A 3-day-old negative test means nothing about one's condition today, yet it is test, test, test here. At the local university, everyone needs a negative test every two weeks to be allowed on campus.
I’ve been in HEB and Walgreens. They both have signs that a mask is required, but there were quite a few that didn’t wear them.
I was surprised when I drove through Hagersville (a small farm town up the road from daughter’s farm) the other day. Every person walking along the street, by themselves, masked up. Most of them older people. I think they’ve got these poor souls scared out of their wits.
