Boy am I about there myself.

The rules just do not make sense. If I travel out of the state, I “must either obtain a negative COVID-19 test result within 72 hours prior to arrival or immediately upon arrival to Maryland, or self-quarantine for 10 days.” Even if I were to accept the premise that we are experiencing an unprecedented plague, it just seems arbitrary and nonsensical to me. And I can be fined up to $5000 and serve 1 year in prison for noncompliance. What the heck??

Up here in Ontario, some of the schools have re-opened. The rules are as such:

No socializing with kids, masks at all times, avoid talking as much as possible.

Now here’s the even crazier part:

If a child in the school has a positive test (keep in mind the tests are not reliable, except to produce high numbers of covid cases) then that student, along with all of the other students in the same class or classes, or on the bus, must quarantine for 10 days, even if there are no symptoms. Not only that, but EVERY PARENT OF EVERY KID in quarantine, must also quarantine. So, that’s a class full of kids, a bus full of kids, and every parent to go along with every one of those kids. And if there are step parents involved, they also have to comply.

Did you ever hear anything so stupid in your life?
