Yeah I know insurance companies pay a fortune for drugs and treatments. Sometimes when I look at how ridiculously it is expensive for one cancer patient or one ALS patient or even one diabetic patient, it’s hard to believe there’s enough healthy people that they can make a profit. Because there are a lot of sick people! I suppose the very ill and terminally ill will get on Medicaid or Medicare. I think if someone is on disability they get Medicare.

Yes, they do-after 24 months of their disability date. Except for some conditions: ALS and kidney failure being 2 of them. And some have Medicare/Medicaid if they’re low income.

But even the disability Medicare people have to deal with the same donut hole in Medicare Part D that the 65 and over population has to deal with.
