That’s scary! It has been so dry in GA, even with the rain, the humidity has been very low. I don’t remember it ever being this low, even in the winter.
We have a burn ban now, but one of my neighbors was burning brush the other day. I couldn’t see the brush pile (just a lot of smoke, our whole area was covered with smoke) and since I couldn’t see where the smoke was coming from, I asked the fire dept to check it out to make sure it wasn’t a house on fire. We have a lot of woods between our houses and I am always nervous about fires.
I understand your nervousness all to well.
Years ago we never worried about fires but thanks to the Green Weenies, who pretty much shut down our management of our forests through lawsuits, killed the logging industry, grazing of cattle and much more, we now WORRY.
