Carl Hart is a Columbia University professor of psychology and neuroscience. He chairs the psych department and has a fondness for heroin – not only as a subject of scholarly pursuit but also as a substance for personal use.
At 54, the married father of three has snorted small amounts of heroin for as many as 10 days in a row and enjoyed it mightily – even if, as he recalls in his new book “Drug Use for Grown-ups: Chasing Liberty in the Land of Fear” (Penguin Press), he’s experienced mild withdrawal symptoms “12 to 16 hours after the last dose.”

Era few people have the will to use opiates especially heroin responsibly
That’s very tempting and dangerous
Having a snort of H at night over a drink or a joint or even a small dose Xanax is pretty risky
And I’m someone who gets percs and steroids regularly
Heroin is a pleasure beat left to hospital care for crucial pain management
I often ask folks who abuse opiates ...and trust me some do....200-300 mg of oxycodone or hydrocodone a day
What will they do if they have severe pain like burns or stomach cancer....
Since they are so tolerant of entry level pain management what will work for them
Not to mention ....you’re messing with the body’s natural dopamine and serotonin feedback cycles ....experiencing pleasure can be altered
Not to mention the addiction
Odds are he keeps this up he becomes an addict
He’s already chipping....folks who purposely go without for a few days to bring the buzz back....unintentionally

This is nothing new...people taking drugs (or alcohol, or gambling, or other things) because they want to and then trying to justify their cravings.

I pulled an OD out of a car on Wednesday by his armpits. He wasn’t breathing, his lips/face, extremities were blue, and his heart stopped on the way into the ed. Went straight to chest compressions, then some narcan and boom ... guy wakes up with really bad withdrawal symptoms and some broken ribs. Seen many, many more who are just plain dead. The professor should be among the latter, if you ask me.

Plus if he is buying from the street he risks fentanyl being mixed into the heroin and one snort of that he dies
Is he high when he lectures?
Is he high when he grades tests?
Is he high when meeting with administration to discuss course topics?
Columbia University - where you can get a degree taught proudly by "professors" with chemically altered minds.
Employers will take a second look at anyone with a degree from Heroin University.

Yeah it is really really bad, I know two people who lost their kid to heroin. I live on Long Island New York near 495 which they now call “heroin highway” from all the heroin busts, they require all cops to carry narcan now. It got so bad that they resorted to putting up signs on 495 offering $5000 to anyone who turns in a heroin dealer. And this freak Biden wants to open the borders?? Absolutely zero reason to do that other than to purposely harm the country
