Both my younger sisters are either in favor of or have no awareness of the political situation today.
One is a D who lives in Utah and she thought it was great that Biden shut down the Keystone pipeline because pipeline construction is “ugly” and the workers can get other jobs, and they can even “tele-commute” and not even have to move. She giggles a lot, but it’s not that cute when you’re 67.
My other younger sister (72) live in Arizona and refuses, absolutely refuses, to look for news outside what she is fed by the MSM. She says everything else is lies and becomes so agitated if you try to present another point of view, she don’t want to hear it and won’t discuss it.
It’s a total disconnected way of looking at the world. People losing their jobs and factories closing are not their concern; no one holds any ill-will towards the United States, we don’t need a big military, etc. etc.
Just hope they don’t turn me in, when and if, they have the opportunity. I’ve got several nephews and nieces who would to do that.
I have one sister that is a hard-leftie. Never-Trumper, even though she sang his praise 30 years ago when she lived in the NY area. She and her husband have been so caustic that I’ve pretty much disowned them. I don’t need that crap. You’re either a patriot, or you’re the enemy, especially if you’re so outspoken about “orange man bad” and all that other leftist claptrap.
A couple of years ago, I posed a video of the Seattle police actually taking down some squatters in the middle of the intersection that were blocking traffic for no apparent reason. She had the gall to stand with the “protesters”. I told here the SOBs were lucky that they didn’t try that here, because they’d have been run down like the useless vermin that they are. LOL
She also once referred to me as one of those “rabid tea partiers”, thinking that I didn’t know what she posted within her little group. Well, I did and I called her out on that too. I mean, what is so freaking “rabid” about defending the constitution and our freedoms that bothers her?
But I digress. I’d better stop before I really tell y’all how I feel about her. Needless to say, she is not a beneficiary.
