Pretty sure only Parliament could strip his ducal title. IIRC it is Charles that has control over the princes income from the Duchy. When they supposedly “walked away” it was my understanding he still had his ducal income which is substantial.

It is obviously clear they do not want it either. Harry wanted out of the Royal Family for a long time after his mother died. Meghan gave him a reason and means. I don’t care about his politics, I’m not going to wish ill on his marriage for it.

The friction was slowly building since his mother died, 20 years before he ever met Megan. Growing up in the Royal Family and knew what would happen if he tried leaving, he saw it happen to his mother.
