What I'm hearing from friends is they are promised that the test is more accurate than others because of the numerous cyles. "Accurate" means they searched the attic for even fragments of dead virus components within the Coronavirus family of viruses, but it is unrelated to whether or not a person ever had Covid-19 or has it now.
On a related note - here's a recent (today or yesterday?) report on adverse reactions.
A coworker showed the following report at today's meeting. It was unpopular.
Those stats are not reassuring.
It's hard to find how many Pfizer/Biontech vaccinations have been provided to patients, but Moderna has provided 25 million. Since the CDC claims 55 million vaccinations total have been delivered as of Tuesday (yesterday), and Moderna claims 25 million injections, I'm guessing Pfizer/Biontech have delivered 30 million. (oh hey, I dont know if first/second dose!)
So with rough data only, it looks like the Pfizer/Biontech vaccine may have higher rates of complications.
Here's the CDC pages for complications separated by manufacturer.
Reactions and Adverse Events of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine | CDC
Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine Information | CDC
I believe the Covid-19 vaccinations are not in our best interest so this isn't a recommendation. I'm only providing the information comparative safety for those who are advising loved ones or have decided to get the vaccine.
