It was. I had tears streaming down my face while I was reading. I wanted to stop reading, but I knew I shouldn’t. The horror I experienced reading about it is nothing compared to the horrors the little ones experienced living through and dying from it. The least I can do is realize what they’ve been through.

I don’t know how we’ll do it, but we have to stop this and never allow it to happen again. If enough of us know what these children have been through, maybe that will become an important factor in ending it. I didn’t want to know, and I’ll have sleepless/restless nights now that I do know some of it, but it’s important that we all know to whatever extent we each can handle the information.
