“Republican cum Whig Party.”
You know, lately I’ve been thinking of the enemy as “the new pagans”, and of leftism as paganism for the modern world. The Republican party was formed to fight slavery. It was a reaction to the Whigs milquetoast position to the issue. So, maybe the RINOs are really the holdovers from the old Whig party and don’t belong in the New Republican party.

I think so - but we have to build the 'New Republican Party'... move about 3/4 of the 'old' out of the way. I think the 1860 Whigs did it by finding a dynamic leader - Abe Lincoln. Of course, we have a dynamic leader - Donald Trump - and look what the Dems have done to him/US!
