Dreamboat Annie is a classic album. How many musical groups write, play and sing their own music? Not very many. And how many have female members, especially ones that play the guitar like Nancy Wilson and have a lead vocalist like Ann? Not that many. I’m not playing the gender card-—it’s just something unique and was not very common in the 70’s.
Heart weren’t worse than mist of the other popular rock bands of the time, I’ll give you that.
I looked at the top hits of the time and I think almost all the songs were better than Magic Man.
