When I was a kid, in grade school, they raised the price of the school lunch. Maybe 10 cents more.
A boycott started. Within a month, not one kid was buying lunch.
Panic set in. The Lunch staff would be laid off if this continued. The Principle called in the company that produced the lunches. Their spokesman got on stage in front of four hundred kids. He actually ate a raw ham burger in front of us to prove how safe and nutritious the food was!
Within days, all resistance faded, and we went back to 300 lunched sold every day.
Well...therein lies the problem. The children were in charge of the boycott and were the ones to ultimately give in. ;)
