No vaccine in history has been 100% effective, that is silly. Still, no one gets smallpox anymore, and no one in most places polio.

Many other vaccines are considerably less effective in preventing people from getting sick to some degree, so people take them.

I have a chronic condition that puts me at high risk if I get a COVID infection, I’ll take the vaccine gladly.

If I can ever get an appointment. Don’t get me started on that. And the possibility that widespread vaccination won’t get the government off the neck of small businesses is of course outrageous.

I gather it seems to depend on your state and local government. My county in MO has started vaccinating the over 65 crowd 10 or 12 days ago. We’re scheduled to get the second shot on 2/12. Within a couple of days there were three places on line or on phone for us to “get on a list”. After some busy signals got through to a local hospital and got the shot two days later.

You didn’t ask, so feel free to ignore, but check your local heath board and local hospitals. Tell them that you are at high risk—they may not ask so make sure you tell them. Good luck

You are right about the small pox and the polio. There is just a small little problem created by the Gates foundation in 2017 for 450,000 children in India. To the point that the Indian government does not allow the Gates foundation any vaccination activities in India.
So let me think about it. Do I want a mRNA vaccine that has never been used until now, is rushed through for approval, and one of the 3 mRNA vaccines is connected to that creep Gate$? Don’t think so, you can have my dose.
BTW, I had a quite severe case of the Chinese virus, had to be hospitalized for a few days.

I’m in Oregon and I (as well as some in other states) could have put a big /S and LOL behind that statement.

The proof, they were doing it before the Wuhan showed up.

And just to add a little laughter to our governor’s tyranny, she recently allowed some restaurants to open so people could use the state’s gambling machines inside but not be served any food or beverage.
