used 10 oz.of lacquer thinner

Never heard of it - is that safe in a 94-96 LT1 engine?

I can get 0% ethanol gas at nearby Reservation gas station.

It’s probably naphthalene or acetone either of which cleans and runs in engines. I used to throw a bottle of Ronsonol (wick lighter fluid) in the tank once in a while back in the day, about 1/5 the cost of a bottle of gasoline additive and essentially the same thing.

I don’t have a clue about the chemistry. All I know is that it worked two vans ago on a 2001 Chevy van. In todays computer enhanced motors who knows. At the time my van had 200k on it so not a heck of a lot to lose if it didn’t work.I may try it again.

In the Keys we have 90 octane with no lead at all we use it in outboard motors and seems to work well. I put it in the van now and than as well. It sells for $2.49 here but prices are now getting the O’biden bump no telling where they will be before Trump takes back over again.
