I think you’re right. The application of the UCMJ to POWs must mean American POWs held by the enemy.

One thing I’m curious about is how my congress critter, who is retired military, participated in the senate impeachment trial. Would be exposed to the prospect of being accused of “treason”?

The application of the UCMJ to POWs must mean American POWs held by the enemy.

It also applies to POWs held by the US, that committed no war crimes to get them exempt from protection as POWs.

Knowing the charges were false? Knowingly?? I would guess IMO that folks in Congress that get caught up will have multiple offenses, and if they involve trafficking in people, crimes against humanity they will be toasted even w/o a treason charge. Treason doesn't have to get the death penalty, but I would argue at this time, it should. CAH should get death anytime.
