We know a Cambodian family. As teenagers, the mom and dad miraculously escaped the killing fields in Cambodia, fled to Thailand, spent years in a refugee camp, eventually coming to the USA. More wonderful, hardworking Americans you will never meet. They are truly an "American Story".
Unfortunately, their daughter grew up here, went to college and was infected by a morally loose culture and Progressive ideas. She thinks her parents don't know what they are talking about when they speak about their experiences and Communist tyranny. She constantly tries to "correct" their attitudes. They cannot reason with her and and it causes them no end of mental anguish.
It is not genetics. It is not even necessarily about upbringing. The Devil poisons minds. Then people reject the truth and accept delusions.
Harris not moving into VP residence as “repairs are being done”
Simply curiosity. Did the family keep their birth names or change them to traditional American names? Is that common among Vietnamese refugees after the war?
