HA! We had a cat that climbed the ladder into the attic and got trapped up there. We could hear her meowing, but didn’t know where the sound was coming from. I went in the garage and looked up. Here was Mama cat with her head sticking out of a circle that had been cut for a light fixture. Thank goodness I happened to see her.

We have a family of outside cats in addition to spoiled inside cat. There is a 90 degree corner by our front door where we leave the walking sticks we use when hiking the hills on our property. The cats like climbing our walking sticks and have learned the knack of climbing up and ringing the doorbell.
Since cats are, well cats, we have not been able to “show people their trick.” But they did perform the feat a few weeks ago when we had our pastor and his wife for supper.
Pastor lives in the city. We are 45 miles out in the country. At first he was incredulous that it wasn’t kids ringing and running. Nope. Just cats.
