Surprisingly, the package showed 400 thread count. Which really surprised me and I’m thinking oh my gosh, that’s pretty low. However, they are very nice. Of course, I washed them first and have been enjoying. Very comfortable.
I just bought a set that’s 400. Kind of middle of the road, but the prices on higher counts was what I considered to be astronomical. They’re decent, but not spectacular. Kind of an even replacement for the set I was using, and probably better than my backup set.
If the cotton is really soft, then 400 is fine. Which by your account, sounds to be about right.
I have read that thread counts are misleading, normal people don’t notice much difference about 350-400. It’s the quality of the cotton that’s the important thing,
