On the fire stick slide, I have one. Had 2, but had to return on to my TV provider when I gave up “cable” (actually, fiber, but same price and same channels). I use my fire stick for watching Sling and Pluto TV. I can switch to antenna mode for the local channels. Much cheaper than what I was paying for my cable.

I had an old Fire Stick and upgraded to the 4K one. Much better hardware and fatter wifi bandwidth.

Yes, we have one of those little ten dollar window antennas and my husband watches some of those tv apps, prime and netflix.

My daughter and I just watch youtube. Usually some kind of tugorial or fixit deal, gardening, sewing, canning, off grid living and the occasional silliness cat video kind of stuff.

I was so disgusted after the 2016 election. We got rid of cable and got a fire stick. We also got rid of the phone and got magic jack. I want to get rid of netflix but hubs wants to keep it. I don’t know why he doesn’t watch that much tv either. He can’t stand any kind of change at all even if it saves him money. He is a stubborn creature of habit-very set in his ways. It took me years to talk him into unplugging!

I don’t know how much of a slide it is. We are discussing alternatives to cable tv here-lessening or having more control over the mockingbirdz. (derp defenders)
