A little while ago, I watched a video of Joe Biden on the Campaign Trail for then President Obama. Wow, it was amazing how lucid Joe was at that time. You could tell that he was a much younger man and he was quite sharp.
Joe used to call into Don Imus show back about 15 years ago.
I always enjoyed listening to Imus trying to get Joe to slip up and saw something he should not. Joe actually seemed like a regular guy. Yes, a union stiff Democrat.
He was funny, but sharp too.
I met him at the Amherst, NH July 4th parade. This was the year before Obama won the presidency. Joe showed up all by himself. No entourage, like all the other candidates. I spoke to him at length. My 80 year old mom spoke to him for about a half hour.
Nobody else even cared to talk to the guy. It was kind of sad.
Now all I can think is that Jill must be an evil bitch to do this to a doddering old man. He needs to be in an assisted memory care facility.
