I retired and moved to Wisconsin. I am not the only one here. Lots of people who moved up here. Its cheap, its beautiful. I watch the sunrise every morning over Lake Michigan. 70% voted for Trump. They are very nice up here. No litter, graffiti, very little crime. Don’t need to wear a mask if you don’t want to. I did shovel my drive way today. But you can think of it as an exercise class.

One of my kids moved to Milwaukee for a couple years. On a visit, went under an overpass with a big BLM sign (before BLM was ramped up).
The place was as cold as a well-diggers belt buckle, and never felt safe.
Was frank about my assessment of WI to my kid, and they eventually gave up and moved back south to some reasonable weather and southern hospitality...

Before you flame me: I grew up in the frozen north (NY), left 40 years ago for the same reasons, and never regretted it.
