A fiction story, but you kow what they say. Yesterday’s fiction is tomorrow’s future. (AI) It seems like a message to me too...

Good story. If I were going to do something like this that is pretty much the way I would go about it.

I will not comment further other than a reminder of what I have said before, "Nobody, and I mean NOBODY, does Electronic Warfare (EW) and Information Warfare (IW) like the United States."

I started reading my father's copy of Naval Institute Proceedings as a boy. I was a subscriber myself for 25 years. I gave it up about the time I gave up all magazines.

The first book from the Naval Institute Press I read was his copy of United States Destroyer Operations in World War II. I highly recommend it.

I still have my pre-publication copy of Tom Clancy's Hunt for Red October. In it he mentioned an Air Force system, LANTIRN (Low Altitude Navigation and Targeting Infrared for Night). I wanted to know more so I walked down the hall to talk to an AF colleague. I asked, "What can you tell me about LANTIRN?" Without moving his head his eyes looked up at me and he asked very coldly, "Where did you hear that word?" We went into the SCIF and had an interesting chat.

I showed him the passage in the book. He read it muttering, "Crap, crap, oh crap." It turns out he had been part of the Avionics Operational Test team for LANTIRN.
