#1992 haha when we did our daughter’s wedding 8 years ago we raised the Hogs and chickens we fed the guests. We hired a local meat market to cater the reception with the smoked chicken parts and pulled pork and some side dishes. Wine and a keg of beer.
I think overall we had close to a hundred guests. Less than 4k expenses with Dress, tux rental, pictures, hall rental, dj for reception, flowers n such.
Rehearsal the day before, light dinner then wedding next day. Not much fuss in today’s world.
Of course she wasn’t raised as a princess and we weren’t helicopter parents.
