Won’t your GP attest to your ingredient allergy?

Not necessarily can a doctor know what one is allergic to. I'm an example. I was rushed to the hospital while at a high school basketball game after eating at a restaurant we've been to several times before. The doctor said it would not help to be tested because too many different foods are involved with an allergy problem. So with me it will have to be my word. And if I'll need a medical slip I'd just have to find someone who will take my word. Hopefully a law will be behind medical privacy.
