What is the significance of the Feb 19th date?

The fact that all cases have been scheduled, on same day? Or....something else that I’m missing?

Thanks.

“What is the significance of the Feb 19th date?”

I was wondering the same thing. Are these Supreme Court cases somehow related to military action?

Feb 19, that’s coming up soon! I need to have a dry eye treatment before then I guess. Would travel after be difficult? I guess none of us know what our lives would be like.... but if you have an Inkling I would love to know how to prepare. My life is chaos now but I do have choices. Moving from one house to another, needing to run to Nashville. Got to make plans how to do all this in case something momentous happens.

So, I don’t know the date means that much, but what stood out to me is that SCOTUS chose to hold conference on all of them the same day, even though the cases were docketed at different times.

Here are 2 of the cases, I don’t have a link to the 3rd in PA:

Michigan https://www.supremecourt.gov/search.aspx?filename=/docket/docketfiles/html/public/20-815.html

Some info on conferences:

Conference Days: The Justices meet in a private conference to discuss cases argued earlier that week. The Justices also discuss and vote on petitions for review. https://www.supremecourt.gov/legendkeyinfo.aspx

In order for the case to be heard, four justices must agree to hear the case. https://www.freeadvice.com/legal/how-does-the-supreme-court-decide-to-hear-a-case/
