Perhaps Harris is there, ready to step in if the teleprompter stops working. I would like to know if Biden is reading from a big flat screen on the back wall of the room. It would be easy to put up answers to questions, as well as opening remarks.
I did find that one article that referring to his using a teleprompter at these press conferences. But I haven’t found any photos to prove it.

But it would not surprise me if he was using a teleprompter; the reporters are not called on at whim, so the questions/answers could easily be programmed in.
