I wonder if times are different now with alternate news sources and the internet. I think the press is our number one problem. My buddy believes what she hears from CNN and reads in the NYTimes and Washington Post. She believes AP and NPR are truthful and neutral. She hates big business, loves big government, and doesn't believe they are fused together. She thinks every bureaucrat knows better and is looking out for her.

The information just doesn't get through. I am wondering if money needs to be raised for a variety of mass mailing postcards, over and over and over, with quickly absorbable facts. Like the graphic that shows there are only, what?, six mega media corporations? That with a catchy title about big business controlling your news, in every mailbox in as many areas as possible. With some website to go to for more facts ... not for a cause or a group or to raise money. Just to get more facts out there. Sure, most would go in the trash, but some would get through, I should think. And perhaps that would start chiseling away at the block.

Thinking about it more, it would need someone to make sure the messages hit at about the 3rd grade level, to make it truly accessible to all. Complicated graphics and lots of big words won't get the messages through.

I do think we need to figure out where the “start” is ... we need to make cracks everywhere to let some truth in.

Yes, and now with the twitter purge & people scattered over many different platforms, people like us cannot even get the information we are actually spending time trying to seek out.

For the majority, it is a just easier to be brainwashed by the Fake News headline that pops up on their phone every 20 minutes and reinforced on TV at night. They are fed propaganda & trained all their lives to believe what they see as "news" and on TV. Why look for something else, when the "truth" is put right in front of you on a sliver plater.
