It seems like a planned thing to me! Because why would police or security on such a monumental, important day with government inside the building do nothing to protect the Capitol or the people inside and also do nothing to protect all the beautiful pro Trump people who came to show support for those government employees to do the right thing!
Indeed! It is their job every day of the year to protect that building of major historical and current importance and the important and unimportant people in and around it.
It just doesn’t wash that on that day, of all days, they couldn’t be bothered and didn’t have enough of their ranks on hand.
Seems to me they would have had enough personnel there and ready by the time the sun rose that day. It’s not like they’ve never had challenging days at the U.S. Capitol before.
