for entertainment only’ type thing much like I figure the flat earth society in the modern age is. I’m surprised there were people taking it seriously.

I used to think the Flat Earth Society was a joke, that its members were trolling the very idea of a flat Earth. But no. While a few may have been trolling them, there are sadly quite a few people who seriously and sincerely think the Earth is flat. We even have or had a few of them here on FR.

sadly I might have been part of the people that started the Flat earth BS. I used to have a mem that said Question EVERYTHING. Don't believe the earth is round figure it out yourself. Then trolls/controlled opposition picked it up.
I thought my mem made a lot of sense I still do though I never though people where stupid enough not understand basic physics.
