He didn't have to. We knew that political leadership was bought and paid for by China and other Deep Staters who would override local activists and citizens - the will of the people in general.
When the system isn't so heavily corrupted - local politics is the way to go. Everybody knows that. But, you think we should have focused on useless local politics anyway.

every one needs to get involved on the local level with whats going on where you live. social media is good for conecting but unless you do real political discourse at city and county level it is not productive at all.
How did that work out for you in 2020 election? Local efforts help get votes, then state and national levels are bought out and lie about the votes.
Social media was bought out and is censoring content other than Marxism, Communism tec. Our efforts helped awaken people to realize the depth of the fraudulent election and all efforts to read and watch what's going helped get Trump elected for a second term.
China didn't buy out as many local politicians as they did state and national politicians.
Don't feel bad. Had you realized how corrupt the system was, I'm sure you would have abandoned plans to cultivate local support and activism certain to be overruled by corruptocrapts had you realized what was going on.
