“Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”
Just so. And I defy anyone to define the population of the United States in the 21st century as “Moral and religious”.
I would venture to guess that that definition applies to no more than 25% today, if that.
That is a depressing thought.

Actually, where I live at least, there probably are more than that. 3000 people on the island. 13 houses of worship. 2 bars.
They call it "Alaska's Little Norway" and I have heard it described as "Mayberry of the North".
Fortunately, the cold, wet and dark keep the riff-raff from staying long.
